Description
On a rainy afternoon in Paris France, I stood under the arcade at the Invalides taking photos of the architecture and deciding what to do next. Part of the Invalides is the Musee de l'Armee, a national military museum created in 1905 with collections that span periods from antiquity through the 20th century. The Invalides itself is a palatial building best known for housing the tomb of Napoleon. The building's original purpose was as a hospital and retirement home for war veterans, purpose that it still serves.
