Description
Unlike most, if not all, National Parks in the US, Mesa Verde is unique and known for being culturally significant more so than for its wildlife or natural landscapes. Still, there is a certain beauty to the desert-like landscape, especially when seen in a panoramic view. Here at the Park Point Overlook, one is at the highest point in the park with great views of the Montezuma and Mancos Valleys. Not visible from this point are any of the cliff dwellings. Mesa Verde National Park is in southwest Colorado, near the 'Four Corners' area of the US. The park is home to cliff dwellings that are archaeologically important and helped give the park a UNESCO World Heritage Site listing.
