Description
Sunset in the Cinque Terre town of Riomaggiore brings everyone out to the rocky shore and provides a dramatic end to a long sunny lazy day. Cinque Terre is a string of five centuries-old seaside villages on the rugged Italian Riviera coastline in the Liguria region of Italy. In each of the five towns of the region, colorful houses and ancient vineyards cling to steep terraces and fishing boats bob in harbors. The five towns are a hikers tourism resort paradise. The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cinque Terre isn't undiscovered, but sometimes you can find a bit of calm in the touristic storm! Waaaay up on the top in the center you can see (if you look carefully) a tower with a round white clock on it. I stayed directly to the right of here, although it can't be seen in the photo. So it was a long steep climb up and down, and up and down, and up and down several times a day!
