Badlands National Park (South Dakota, USA) has its own version of the Forrest Gump road! The original, of course, is in Monument Valley, and gets its name as the point where Forrest Gump stopped running. Forrest starts running after being left by a woman he loves. Frustration, hurt and pain caused him to spend the next 3 years, 2 months, 14 days, and 16 hours in a cross country marathon. Then he says: “You need to put the past behind you before you can move on”. In the movie, he stops at what looks like a long road leading to dead end in the mountains. Here is the Badlands version of that.
