Description
It may have been a January day but the bright sun beating down on the bleached out Botigues de Mar made you think summer was just around the corner. This is along the promenade of the Altafulla beach, just north of Tarragona Spain. In the distance, spot one person enjoying the peace and the bright sun! These whitewashed buildings, steps from the sand and water, originally date to the 18th century when they were used for the fishermen to store their tools and also for traders to keep products which were destined for sale in the colonies. In the early 20th century these small properties were restored and used as summer residences. Looks like a great place to enjoy the sun and sand of the Mediterranean.
