Description
The sound is deafening at Athabasca Falls in Jasper National Park on the Athabasca River, 30 km south of Jasper, Alberta, Canada. Athabasca Falls is not the highest waterfall (at only 23 m) or the widest waterfall in the Canadian Rockies, but it is probably one of the most powerful! Words are inadequate to convey its power; you just stand in awe. It is at its most ferocious in summer, as seen here, thundering over the cliff.
