Description
Humans love to anthropomorphize animals, that is attribute human characteristics or behavior to the animals. This capture of some bighorn sheep ewes in Badlands National Park South Dakota just begs for that! What do you think is going through their minds? To me it looks like they are saying to one another “Sigh….those two legged creatures probably think us ewes do the head-butting fight thing. Let’s just do a few gentle butts and smile for the cameras. Maybe that will make them happy and they’ll go away”. Or maybe they are gossiping about the eligible rams. Or sharing lamb-rearing tips.
