The headline said 'Bike Cafes Brewing in Surprising Places'. My husband told me bike cafes were very popular these days but you know you never listen to your spouse! The article reads further 'At bicycle cafes, travelers can stop for coffee, grab a bite to eat and get air in their tires or even a tune up, all at the same time.' And further: 'In cycling culture, there is a strong connection to coffee'. While the article focused on bike cafes in the US, it finally admitted that American bike cafes are thought to be inspired by Europe's strong biking and cafe cultures. And that is where this lane in Girona Spain comes in! It was a pretty chilly day when we visited Girona and after spending a couple of hours in the cold damp of historical cathedrals and cloisters, I was ready for a hot drink. We were wandering aimlessly through the back streets of the old town when we ran across a bike cafe called La Fabrica Girona on Carrer de la Llebre.
