You don't have to go far in Canmore Alberta for some fantastic views of the Canadian Rockies. Canmore has some wonderful walking and hiking paths designed to get you out into nature even though you are only a block or two from town. Canmore maintains approximately 70 km of trails within the town's boundaries, making it easy to get around on foot. There is a network of walking trails through town and along the Bow River as well as hikes of varying difficulty that go into the surrounding mountain valleys. Canmore's elaborate community trail network is utilized by walkers, joggers, cyclists and mountain bikers. Here is a boardwalk trail that allowed us to walk along Policeman's Creek (seen on the far left) from where we were staying into the town in about 20 min.
