Description
Cathedral Caves in the Catlins area of the South Island of New Zealand consist of the two sea-formed passages measuring about 200 meters, with a height up to 30 meters. It is only accessible within a couple hours either side of low tide. Otherwise the sea washes up to and into the cave entrances. The caves are in the cliffs at the end of pristine Waipati Beach, 15 km south of the village of Papatowai.
