Description
It's not hard to understand why the Eiffel Tower is the most-visited paid monument in the world. What's hard is to tear yourself away from it! An average of 25,000 people a day feel the same way, paying money to ascent to the various observation levels. I spent several hours here on my first day in Paris looking at the tower from every angle and even then felt like I was missing something. It is endlessly fascinating. It is huge, overpowering, strong, delicate-looking, artistic, you can come up with many adjectives and still never cover it all. Maybe a cliche, but deservedly so.
