There is a reason why the view of Florence Italy from the Piazzale Michelangelo is considered one of the best places to view the sunset. You get a panoramic view of the entire city in addition to the beautiful light against the buildings along the River Arno. On the far left is the Ponte Vecchio with the tower of the Palazzo Vecchio to its right. The large dome on the far right belongs to the cathedral, Il Duomo. The tallest tower close to (and to the left of) the dome is the Campanile and the small dome to its left is that of the Medici Chapel.
