There was a feeding frenzy one morning in the waters off Santiago Island in the Galapagos Islands. Pelicans, blue-footed boobies and other shore birds were all getting in on the act, trying to catch the fish from underwater and from one another. Here is a Galapagos Brown Pelican trying to protect his seemingly miniscule catch from some lava gulls intent on getting a free meal.
