Description
We were walking along a trail in the Badlands National Park in South Dakota USA when someone in the group said ‘There’s a frog!’ I don’t know how she managed to see it because it was no more than about 4 cm long! He had just peeked out of the crack in the dried mud but eventually came out just a bit more, looking pretty grumpy and ready to take on the world.

Joan, this is a fabulous photo! And yes that toad looks like he's ready to take on the world... or at least telling you to move on. Great shot!
