During a panga ride in Black Turtle Cove on Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos, we noticed this heron paying close attention to his potential next meal. He was very intent and moved his head closer and closer to the water as he eyed his prey. Not wanting to miss ‘the moment’, I started shooting and shooting. Sixty eight pictures later, I caught this moment.
