Description
I set off early in Moab Utah—right at sunrise--for a hike to Morning Glory Arch. At least it was sunrise according to official sunrise time on the clock, but it was still very shady along much of the trail. It was a lovely quiet uncrowded peaceful clear early morning. The trail was not unused but neither was it so well-worn as to make it unmistakable, at least in the early morning shadows. Sometimes I had to pause, look around as far as I could see for what looked like a likely trail, and combine that with what I knew of the general direction the trail should go before making a decision. Funny….the trail was much more obvious on the return trip!
