Sometimes you just get lucky. This day was one of those times, when the early morning was just glorious for hiking in the Cinque Terre region of Italy. This part of the hike was heading north from Vernazza to Monterosso. Cinque Terre is a string of five centuries-old seaside villages on the rugged Italian Riviera coastline in the Liguria region of Italy. In each of the five towns of the region, colorful houses and ancient vineyards cling to steep terraces and fishing boats bob in harbors. The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
