Description

Bellagio is one of the well-known towns on Lake Como in the Lombardy region of Italy. Maybe more for the million-dollar views than for the million dollar villas! Bellagio is situated upon the cape of the land mass that divides Lake Como in two, and the arms of the lake form an inverted Y. Punta Spartivento (meaning ‘where the wind divides’) lies at the tip of the cape. Looking northward, you are looking into the Colico branch of the lake toward the serene and majestic Italian Alps. The Como arm of the lake lies to its south west and the Lecco arm of the lake to its south east (which are behind and to the left and right, respectively, of this view). It is mesmerizing to spend time in the park at Punta Spartivento, both for the view and for the ebb and flow of the ferry traffic constantly moving across the lake.
