‘been there’ unless I can do that! So here we found a place along the shore of Lake Wakatipu between Queenstown and Glenorchy on the South Island of New Zealand where we could pull over and I could touch the water. And take some photos…. This scenic drive follows the eastern edge of Lake Wakatipu between the two cities. There are beautiful vistas around every turn with the snowy mountain peaks in the distance, but not always a place to safely pull over!
