Description
This person might be contemplating the golden Dome des Invalides in Paris..or he might be wondering what to do and how to get there in the pouring rain. That's what I was doing, killing some time, hoping the rain would stop enough so as not to get drenched! We both gazed out in misery. The Dome des Invalides is a large church with the burial site for some of France's war heroes, most notably Napoleon Bonaparte, as well as some military marshals. The Invalides is a complex of buildings containing museums and monuments, all relating to the military history of France, as well as a hospital and a retirement home for war veterans, the building's original purpose. The buildings also house the Musee de l'Armee, the military museum of the Army of France.
