Description
If you get tired of the highlights of the castle district in Budapest, wander along some of the other streets. On a day in October, there were hundreds of people milling in and around Matthias Church, Fisherman's Bastion, and the main square but almost no one along Uri Utca, just a few steps away. The buildings along Uri Utca (Lords' Street) were destroyed several times by fire during centuries past but reconstruction during 1950-1960 restored much of their character. If you love beautiful doors, this is a great street to wander along!
