Description
We were about to leave the Hoboken NJ waterfront when this boat set out heading southeast. I just had to get one last picture! Little did my cousins know when they suggested taking the train to go to Hoboken NJ to walk on the waterfront that it was the perfect outing! We got to view the fabulous New York City skyline, and I got to satisfy my love of riding trains! On this day the morning clouds were amazing. Despite the clouds, the air was amazingly clear so that New York City did not seem real. It seemed like a giant painting spread out before us across the Hudson. Viewed here is the southern end of Manhattan island with the new and newly iconic Freedom Tower (officially named 1 World Trade Center). The 104-story supertall structure stands on the northwest corner of the 16-acre (6.5 ha) World Trade Center site, on the site of the original 6 World Trade Center. At 1776 feet high, it is the tallest skyscraper in the Western Hemisphere and the 4th tallest skyscraper in the world.
