On an early morning walk in Trinidad Cuba, we were peering into the open door of the of the Taller Alfarero Pottery workshop when we were invited in for a quick look around. I’m sure this isn’t their office but the placement of the desk and phone under the unique mural in the early morning light was quite striking. The city of Trinidad has a rich history of pottery dating back to the mid-nineteenth century when the workshop was founded. Most of the pottery that is sold in Trinidad stores has been made in their workshops.
