You can tell it’s a rainy day in Riomaggiore, in the Cinque Terre region of Italy. There is the lone tour group, everyone with an umbrella, up on the patio. My guess is they weren’t too happy about having paid for a tour on such a rainy day! On a sunny day, there would have been a steady stream of people going up and down the stairway leading to that patio, as well as on the pathway between the rows of boats. Also on a sunny day, souvenir vendors would be occupying the spot I used to take the photo. There ARE some advantages to the rain! In 1997 Riomaggiore and the other villages of Cinque Terre were designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
