Description
What I remember most about taking this photo of the Museum of Arts and Traditions in Seville Spain was how TIRED I was! I had been walking and walking and walking all over Seville all day and by late afternoon I was exhausted! I sat on the curb across from the museum and lowered my tripod all the way down so that I could take some pictures while I was sitting down! The architecture was so beautiful, the Moorish influence obvious in this southern Spanish city. The building was originally constructed in 1914 and was used as an art pavilion for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929 in Maria Louisa Park. The purpose of the exposition was to improve relations between Spain and the countries in attendance, many of which were former Spanish colonies. The building has suffered through closures, weather damage, and restorations and is now operated by the Andalusian Autonomous Government.
