Description
The shining sunbeam hummingbird is different from most other hummingbirds which tend to have a lot of green in their plumage. This hummingbird sports beautiful copper-colored plumage. It is indigenous to the tropical regions of Ecuador, Peru, and Columbia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist high-altitude forest and subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland. This one was photographed at approximately 11,500’ in the Ecuadorian Andes.
