Description
The Sony Center in Berlin is a mix of shops, restaurants, a conference center, hotel, condos, offices, art and film museum, cinamas, and a small Legoland. But for the photographer, a main attraction is the roof! The International star architect Helmut Jahn has created a trend-setting complex of buildings, in which the center is flooded with light. The open, public space offers a natural atmosphere all year round. From here the 103 m tall glass office tower, the integrated historic Emperors Hall (Kaisersaal) and the other buildings are just a few footsteps away. The concept of Helmut Jahn is to impress with transparent design, implemented through glass facades, sophisticated light reflections and light refractions. The Sony Center is a Sony-sponsored building complex located at the Potsdamer Platz. It opened in 2000.
