I started out walking west on an early morning trek along the Trinity River at the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge in Fort Worth TX. The sun had not yet penetrated the tree cover and it was the wrong direction for the sun getting in your eyes or backlighting the spider webs. As a result, I kept feeling the thin filaments of spider webs on my face as I disturbed the overnight workings of the local inhabitants. It wasn’t until the trail looped around and I started back to the east that the profusion of spider webs across the path became evident. This one was along the side of the path so it remained undisturbed by the early morning hikers.
