It’s not that often that you can use a wide-angle lens in bird photography! But such is the case with the Espanola mockingbird, a species endemic to Espanola and Gardner Islands in the Galapagos Islands (Ecuador). It’s lack of fear of humans causes it to come right up to you and peck at your shoes or backpack or sit on your camera. It is one of four closely related mockingbird species endemic to the Galapagos. Because of its limited habitat, it is classified as a vulnerable species.
