Description
Around the side and tucked neatly under the protection of the walls of St Stephen's cathedral in Vienna Austria is this charming little building. This picture was taken on a cold day in December, yet flowers still filled the flower boxes! What might otherwise be a drab facade is instantly brightened, for the inhabitants and also for passersby. The walls of St. Stephen's, known in German as Stephansdom, can be seen at the very top of the picture in the background so this house is quite literally under the wing of the church. St Stephen's is located at Stephanplatz and is the most important Catholic church in Vienna. It is the #1 tourist attraction in Vienna, but if you just spend a few minutes exploring you can find some other wonderful jewels.
