Early morning in Riomaggiore in the Cinque Terre region of Italy is the best time to enjoy the colorful homes, the blue sea and the peace of the day. Going down the steps from atop my hillside B&B, this was one of the views of the rocky shoreline on the south end of the town. Riomaggiore is the southernmost of the Cinque Terre towns of Italy. Cinque Terre is a string of five centuries-old seaside villages on the rugged Italian Riviera coastline in the Liguria region of Italy. In each of the five towns of the region, colorful houses and ancient vineyards cling to steep terraces and fishing boats bob in harbors. The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
