On a safari, we were able to park only a few yards away from this adult male lion. With a long lens, we could get a perfect portrait. All we needed was for the lion to open his eyes and look toward us. No such luck! He and his pride had been feasting on a large animal carcass for a couple of days and it looked like a post-Thanksgiving nap for all involved! This sleepy guy barely cracked open his eyes and that was the best he would give us!
