There are many things to love about winter in Spain and one of them is the sunrise that occurs at nearly 8:30 am! So here I am on the Balcon del Mediterraneo in Tarragona Spain, a mere 100 m from where I was staying, enjoying the sunrise after a great night's sleep! The Balcon del Mediterraneo ( Balco del Mediterrani) is located at the top of Rambla Nova, and sits 40 metres above the Mediterranean Sea. It offers a splendid view of the Mediterranean, the Tarragona port, Platja del Miracle beach and the ancient Roman amphitheatre. A place beloved by Tarragona natives, legend has it that touching its railing ("tocar ferro") brings good luck. If that's so, I will be set with good luck for a long time to come!
