I couldn't resist just a few more minutes of photographing before I left Canmore (Alberta Canada) for the drive to the Calgary Airport and home. Just a block from the hotel was this beautiful late summer scene, with the sun just coming up and touching the mountain peaks. Two of the rocky Three Sisters peaks are visible in the photo, with the third behind the tree. The peaks are known individually as Big Sister (Faith), Middle Sister (Charity) and Little Sister (Hope) (R to L) and are the iconic landmarks of Canmore. The peaks were original called the Three Nuns because as Albert Rogers wrote in 1883 "There had been quite a heavy snowstorm in the night, and when we got up in the morning and looked out of the tent I noticed each of the three peaks had a heavy veil of snow on the north side and I said to the boys, 'Look at the Three Nuns.'
