Description
One of the hidden gems of Fort Worth TX (USA) is the Fort Worth Water Gardens. It really is hidden, not being readily visible from the street, so that if you didn’t know it was there you would walk right by. That doesn’t mean people don’t already know about it so that if you visit on a sunny weekend afternoon you are likely to find a lot of others enjoying the pools. The highlight is the ‘active pool’, a cascade of water flowing 33’ down concrete terraces where you can experience the power, sounds, and motion of water crashing down around you. But here at the ‘aerating pool’ you experience a quieter atmosphere with multiple illuminated spray fountains under the canopy of large oak trees. The site is completed by the ‘meditation pool’, which is encircled with cypress trees and towering walls that are covered in a thin plane of water that cascades almost 90 degrees down to the sunken blue water feature. There is something for everyone here!
