Aggie Barn 2017 #2 BW metal print by Joan Carroll. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Artist's Description
Every year the "Aggie Barn" is repainted with various contemporary graduation years of classes at Texas A&M. This is the version in the fall of 2017. The repaintings aren’t entirely consistent and some graduating years never seem to have their 1 year of fame. Last year’s barn was for graduating years 2018 and 2020 so only one part was repainted this year! The "Aggie Barn' is a landmark on Route 6 just south of Reagan Texas, letting you know you have left Baylor country and are entering Aggie country! The barn was "started" by Mr. Thaggard Kirkpatrick. Mr. Kirkpatrick was a Class of '24, 100% Aggie. The center section of the barn reportedly was once the First State Bank of Reagan and sat in "Downtown Reagan". The building was moved to Mr. Kirkpatrick's property in the 1940s or 1950s, and originally painted red. In 1980, Mr. Kirkpatrick repainted it with Aggie Maroon as an expression of his love for Texas A&M. He had no idea of the landmark he was creating when he first painted "Gig...
