As the day gets warmer, residents and visitors alike stick to the shade in the Albayzin district of Granada Spain! The whitewashed buildings are bright in the midday sun. This is the old quarter of the city that retains the narrow winding streets of its Medieval Moorish past. It was declared a world heritage site in 1984, along with the famous, the Alhambra. It's atop a hill with steep winding streets. It's worth walking at least one way when visiting from other parts of Granada so that you can explore and get lost in the narrow streets and lanes. It's probably easier and less sweaty to ride the bus up to the top of the hill, and then walk on the way down. As long as you are heading down, you will eventually find your way back to some of the main streets of Granada.
