A beautiful pink flower blooming in the sandveld of Zimbabwe. Thanks to the online community, it seems to be an Ammocharis, from a small genus from Sub-Saharan African. It grows as an above-ground buld, preferring seasonally wet, hot, sandy soils and full sun. The genus name derives from two Greek works which translate into 'delight of the sandy plains;.
