In a classic dichotomy of the old and new, the Muralles (or ancient defensive city walls around Sevilla, Spain) exist alongside a busy street crowded with cars on their outer side. On their inner side is the more quiet Macarena neighborhood of Seville. How perfect to walk along and find three classic symbols of the area: the walls, some orange trees, and a bicycle all bathed in warm early morning light! Orange trees are quite common in Sevilla. If the oranges were sweet, you might not ever find any on the trees as the tourists would probably be picking them as souvenirs, but they are sour oranges and are therefore rarely eaten. However, they are prized for making marmalade! Once a year, oranges of this variety are collected from trees in Seville and shipped to Britain to be used in marmalade.

In every place, light, mood, color, and...
