Artist's Description
Many in Fort Worth were dismayed several years ago when it was announced that construction of the new addition to the Kimbell Museum would involve tearing up the beautiful expansive lawn that people use to picnic, relax, and play frisbee. There was a promise that the architecture would take the landscape and the site into consideration. But you know how promises go....However, years later, the new addition to the Kimbell, named the Renzo Piano Pavilion (after the architect) is complete and the promises kept. Not only is the museum spectacular but the beauty of the original landscaping has been restored.
