At Dot’s Mini Museum in Vega Texas you can enjoy the late Dot Leavitt’s personal collection of artifacts, memorabilia, antiques and kitsch including a cowboy boot tree. It appeared closed for the winter when I passed through in November but I could still have a quick look around the yard. Vega’s claim to fame as a Route 66 stop is that it is halfway between Chicago and LA along the famed historic road.
