Description
It's not hard to see why so many people vacation in the Cinque Terre area of Italy. When the weather is good, the scenery is gorgeous and the blue water just spectacular! Cinque Terre is a string of five centuries-old seaside villages on the rugged Italian Riviera coastline in the Liguria region of Italy. This photo is taken from the town of Corniglia looking northward where you can see the northernmost of the Cinque Terre towns, Monterosso, in the distance. In each of the five towns of the region, colorful houses and ancient vineyards cling to steep terraces and fishing boats bob in harbors. The five towns are a hikers tourism resort paradise. The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cinque Terre isn't undiscovered, but sometimes you can find a bit of calm in the touristic storm!
