There was a feeding frenzy one morning in the waters off Santiago Island in the Galapagos Islands. Pelicans, blue-footed boobies and other shore birds were all getting in on the act, trying to catch the fish from underwater and from one another. Here is the Galapagos Brown Pelican making his getaway before making another plunge-dive for the underwater prey. The brown pelican is found throughout the Galapagos and said to be an endemic species of pelican.
