Description
There are many species of finch in the Galapagos, collectively and colloquially called Darwin’s finches. This one was photographed on Genovesa Island and is a Genovesa Cactus Finch, formerly a subspecies of the large Cactus Finch. It was hopping about in the low plants close to the beach but stopped long enough for me to get one good photo!
