Description
One of the best things to do in Seville Spain is climb La Giralda (the bell tower) to get sweeping views of the city. You are about 200' up, and there is nothing taller in the vicinity to obstruct your view. The view of the sunny city with orange tree-lined streets is mesmerizing. During the climb there are also large alcoves with openings where you can either rest during the climb or stop and enjoy the view from various levels. This is a view part way up the climb, showing part of the adjacent Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See. Better known as Seville Cathedral, it is the largest Gothic cathedral and the third-largest church in the world, and was designated a World Heritage Site in 1987.
