Wilson Arch is probably one of the more accessible arches you can visit in Utah. It sits just a few steps away from the highway south of Moab. You can get this view at the roadside turnout without even opening your car door. For an additional five minutes, you can climb to the window of the arch. Wilson Arch has a span of 91 feet and a height of 46 feet and is part of a formation called Entrada Sandstone. It was named after a local pioneer named Joe Wilson. You can find numerous mentions of Joe Wilson having a cabin nearby this arch but otherwise Joe Wilson remains a mystery on the internet.
