Description
The drive from Queenstown to Te Anau on the south island of New Zealand skirts the western shore of Lake Wakatipu. It is a very winding road so you have to be ready to pull over as soon as you see a pull out! Lake Wakatipu is an inland lake (finger lake) in the southwest corner of the Otago Region that was carved by glacial action 15,000 years ago. It is New Zealand's longest lake, and its third largest. The view is nothing short of spectacular!
