Description
It's hard to imagine where you are when you see this Arc de Triomf in Barcelona Spain. Are you in the tropics,or are you in Paris, Rome, or even New York? Barcelona has its own triumphal arch built as the main access gate for the 1888 Barcelona World Fair by architect Josep Vilaseca i Casanovas. The arch is built in reddish brickwork in the Neo-Mudjar style. The arch presides over Passeig de Llus Companys, a wide promenade leading to the Ciutadella Park. It is located at the top of the promenade, where it meets Passeig de Sant Joan. Even on a cloudy and cold day, the park is a popular place to walk, jog, ride bikes, or walk the dog. As always in a big city, a large green space is always loved!
