Description
Dominoes is a popular pastime all over the Caribbean, including Cuba. You can hardly walk several blocks before you run across another game. And in Cuba like all the other islands, it is a game played passionately! In contrast to other places, Cuban dominoes go from 0 to 9 rather than 0 to 6, and the game is played in pairs rather like bridge. Domino games are often surrounded by nonparticipant hangers-on who turn into impromptu game analysts. Since they can see everyone's tiles around the table, they can criticize both the good and the bad moves throughout the game.

Brings back sentimental memories of playing dominoes with my grandfather, and the gentle filter suggests nostalgia! l/f
