Description
When we walked past the Jose Marti Memorial in Havana Cuba in February 2017, we noticed that the elevators to the observation deck were working! The âofficialâ information was that as of August 2016, the observation deck was closed to the public for replacement of the original elevator. Not knowing how long this might last for, we immediately took the elevators to the observation deck on the top floor, the highest point in Havana for a panoramic view of the city. We couldnât quite see Key West from here (105 miles) but thatâs the direction we are looking! On the far right is in Plaza de la Revolucion is one of the most iconic images in Cuba, the giant mural of Cubaâs revolutionary hero Che Guevara. Below, you see his most famous utterance âHasta La Victoria Siempre.â

Beautiful capture but, I must say you took a big risk hopping in that elevator! But, it worked out you captured. beauty here!

Love this photo because it is very scenic, but also didn't realize there were so many new buildings on the skyline.
